Thriving New Materials appears at 2026 Powder Metallurgy Forum
Non-acid purified MoS₂ catches industry attention, brisk enquiries at Thriving New Materials exhibition booth
The 18th Powder Metallurgy Technology and Business Forum 2026 was held in Jurong, Jiangsu Province, from May 21 to 23, 2026.
Thriving New Materials (Luoyang) Co., Ltd., as an exhibitor at the forum, set up a booth at the exhibition area adjacent to the main venue. The company showcased its self-developed cyclone-purified molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂) produced by physical methods, attracting technical professionals and procurement representatives to the booth for sustained inquiries and discussions.
Molybdenum disulfide is a highperformance solid lubricant in powder metallurgy. When incorporated into components such as valve guides and valve seats, it effectively reduces friction coefficient, improves wear and heat resistance, prevents galling under hightemperature conditions, and extends component life. Thriving New Materials has developed a physical cyclone purification process that produces acidfree highpurity MoS₂, addressing longstanding industry concerns about acid residues and copper corrosion. The product serves as a viable alternative to imported equivalents and is widely used in powder metallurgy, cemented carbide additives, solid lubricants, and composite filler materials.
This forum was jointly organised by China PM Business Network and China Injection Forming Network. As an industry conference held continuously for 18 years in the powder metallurgy sector, this year's forum saw over 450 registered participants. Nearly 150 powder metallurgy parts and OEM companies attended the event, including GKN.

Over the threeday conference, Thriving New Materials showcased its advanced physical cyclone purification process for MoS₂ as well as its product portfolio, and entered into multiple cooperation intentions with visiting customers.
